A Mindfulness-based Treatment Approach
Learn skills that make your life work for you, not against you.
What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is focusing on something specific, in the present moment, on purpose, without judgment. With mindfulness, we are aware of what is going on in our bodies, our feelings, our minds, and the world. Through this practice we can learn how to use our body as an internal laboratory to learn about ourselves and adopt thinking and ways of being with our emotions that are effective for us.
At Inner Solutions we use cutting-edge therapies, that include, but are not limited to:
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
DBT focuses on understanding what causes us to struggle staying in the window of emotional tolerance. It teaches us concrete skills that help us be more regulated and content. It includes individual, group, and 24-hour skill coaching.
ACT is designed to help us learn to let go of unnecessary anxiety by learning to be less fused with our thoughts. It helps us get out of our head and into our bodies. This helps bring us to the present moment and connect with ourselves, our lives, and the world.
Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)
Trauma occurs when we have scary experiences that are overwhelming to us, and we don't have a safe or healthy adult to process this with us and protect us. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to go back into these core memories during which unhelpful, negative beliefs were formed and reprocess these memories, in order to form more positive beliefs about ourselves and the world.
Psychobiological Approach to
Couples Therapy
Your experience during a PACT session may differ somewhat from what you would experience in other forms of couple therapy. Key features of this approach include:
Your therapist will focus on moment-to-moment shifts in your face, body, and voice, and ask you to pay close attention to these as a couple.
Your therapist will create experiences similar to those troubling your relationship and help you work through them in real time during the session.
PACT tends to require fewer sessions than do other forms of couple therapy.
PACT sessions often exceed the 50-min hour and may last as long as 2 hours. Longer times allow for the in-depth work of PACT.
Your therapist may videotape sessions to provide immediate feedback to you.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Groups
DBT groups are focused on building skills in the areas of emotion regulation, mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. Research has found this to be valuable for virtually anyone who wants to learn how to be more skillful in their everyday life.

Inner Solutions is a small group practice that focuses on helping you connect with your wise mind and your internal therapist, which is wiser and smarter than any other therapist. We will provide an atmosphere and relationship that is conducive for gaining self-awareness, self-acceptance and provide you with concrete skills that you can use to create your life worth living. We will uncover systems and pathways that lead to difficulties, and introduce changes. Being invited into your life is a privilege and is treated as that. We are successful when you are successful and will put everything we have towards this goal with you.
Katy Brockway, LMFT, LADC
Therapist
My goal for each client is to help them get un-stuck. Whether you are a teenager struggling with self-esteem and depression, an adult struggling with anxiety and negative self-talk seeping in from past relationships, or a family struggling with parenting issues, poor communication, problem behaviors, and environmental stressors, I believe my background and training are well suited to assist in positively affecting change. I have experience as both an inpatient and outpatient therapist and feel the combination of these two worlds gives me a unique set of skills to serve you.
I work with all ages, with a primary focus on preteens/teenagers through adults. Individual, family and couples therapy are central areas of my practice. I am also a licensed clinical drug and alcohol counselor who works with sobriety maintenance and relapse prevention.
Jared Moser, LCSW
Therapist
I believe that we develop, over the course of time, well-worn paths that can serve us and/or move us in undesired directions. As a licensed therapist I have built a large toolbox of approaches and techniques that help identify areas of struggle and support the client's efforts to make changes towards a value-driven direction.
By nature, I am an easy-going person with a genuine sense of humor, warmth, and a commitment to empathy and compassion. I always strive to connect, to give feedback, and to promote learning and growth. I feel blessed to do the work I do.

Sheena helps clients get scheduled with the therapist that is right for you, based on your needs and the corresponding expertise of the individual clinicians, and helps navigate questions regarding your insurance and billing.
Rose Parizo, MSN, APRN
Nurse Practitioner
The therapists at Inner Solutions are specialized in helping you gain skills to have better overall mental health and address any trauma that has been getting in the way of living your life worth living. Sometimes skills and talk therapy does not suffice, as occasionally the challenge is too big and medication management becomes a helpful tool to help you on your path to improved mental wellness. This is where I come in. My name is Rose, and I have been in the mental health field for 18 plus years and have been practicing as a nurse practitioner, prescribing medication, and providing brief therapy interventions, since 2017. I specialize in pediatric and adolescent clients, but I see patients of all ages. I am looking forward to meeting with you and being an additional resource for you on your wellness journey.
